Med-Call Staffing
Provide comprehensive nursing care to pregnant patients during phase of antennal, intrapartum, and postpartum. Including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and assisting with pain management techniques.
Assess and monitor fetal well-being using electronic fetal monitoring and other diagnostic tools, and promptly report any abnormalities to the provider.
Assist providers during labor, delivery, and cesarean sections, ensuring a smooth and efficient process.
Educate expectant patients and their families about childbirth, breastfeeding, newborn care, and postpartum recovery.
Provide emotional support and encouragement to laboring patients, helping them cope with pain, anxiety, and stress.
Advocate for the needs and preferences of laboring mothers, ensuring that their birth plans are respected whenever possible.
Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team, including obstetricians, neonatologists, and lactation consultants, to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care.
Perform postpartum assessments and provide care for both birthing parent and newborns in the immediate postpartum period.
Assist with newborn screenings, vaccinations, and breastfeeding support as needed.
Document all patient interactions, assessments, and interventions accurately and in a timely manner, in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education to maintain and enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
To be considered for these positions, we require the following qualifications:
1. Valid and active RN license in Wisconsin or multistate license.
2. TWO years of a recent L&D experience.
3. Strong clinical skills and the ability to work autonomously.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Ability to adapt to a dynamic and challenging work environment.
