We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Cath Lab Technician to join our dynamic cardiology team at [Hospital/Healthcare Facility Name]. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in assisting with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in the catheterization lab, ensuring the highest quality of care for patients undergoing cardiac procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in Cardiac Procedures: Prepare and assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures, such as angiograms, angioplasty, and stent placements.
Patient Care: Monitor and assess patients before, during, and after procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety. Prepare patients for procedures, explaining the process and addressing concerns.
Equipment Management: Set up, operate, and maintain Cath Lab equipment such as fluoroscopy, ECGs, and pressure injectors. Ensure that all equipment is functioning correctly and ready for use.
Documentation: Record and document patient data, procedural details, and outcomes in electronic health records (EHR). Ensure accurate and timely completion of all necessary paperwork.
Sterile Environment Maintenance: Ensure the Cath Lab environment is sterile and well-prepared for procedures. Follow all infection control protocols.
Patient Monitoring: Monitor vital signs and patient status during procedures. Recognize changes and notify the medical team promptly for intervention.
Collaboration: Work closely with cardiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure smooth and effective operation of the Cath Lab.

Education: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Cardiovascular Technology or related field.
Certification: Certified Cardiovascular Technologist (CVT) or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
Experience: Previous experience in a Cath Lab or similar setting is highly preferred. Experience in diagnostic and interventional procedures is an advantage.
