Job Summary:
The position is located at a multi-specialty hospital in Texas with over 360 beds, including a Children’s Hospital and a Women’s Center with a Level III NICU. As the NICU Director, you will ensure high-quality, patient-centered care by overseeing the Level III NICU's function and staffing. This role involves forecasting, planning, budget monitoring, and fostering a culture of accountability and collaboration. You will support the development and implementation of strategies, policies, and procedures to meet facility objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
- Implement evidence-based practices to enhance patient safety and quality outcomes.
- Manage clinical practice variations to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and cost.
- Ensure adherence to care standards and maintain a culture of accountability and transparency.
- Stay updated on internal and external benchmarks, accreditations, and designations, actively pursuing them.
- Develop and enforce policies, procedures, and practices in compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
- Oversee patient throughput and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care through effective volume forecasting, patient flow coordination, and admission/discharge planning.
- Foster interdisciplinary communication and collaboration within and across departments.
- Direct nursing practice and unit operations to assess, meet, and evaluate patient and family needs.
- Lead efforts to achieve and sustain an outstanding patient experience.

Additional Information:
- Oversight of 99 beds in the Level III NICU.
- Management of 150 FTEs, including 2 Managers.
- Nurse-to-patient ratio: 2 or 3 to 1.
- Daily census of 75.
- Standard leadership shift, Monday to Friday.
- Rotates call with 2 managers.
- Bonus and relocation eligible.

Requirements

- Bachelor’s Degree required; Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
- Master’s Degree preferred.
- Current registered nurse license in Texas or an active compact license.
- BLS required; ACLS preferred.
- NRP and FHM preferred; RNC-OB preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of healthcare experience required.
- Minimum of 1 year in a leadership role required.
- Current NICU Director experience preferred.
