Serves as the primary point of contact to schedule medical appointments and follows ups as needed
Meeting all requirements of ORR policies and OCFS regulations with regard to medical care.
Assists with developing relationships with new providers as needed.
Partners with ORR to assure providers are set up to accept specialized payment for this population.
Establishing treatment goals, utilizing historical & current available information in collaboration with multidisciplinary team. Refer children for needed services and assist in provider selection.
Coordinate with health care providers, including requesting and receiving documentation in appropriate time frames and uploading that to the UAC portal.

Provision of supervision to LPNs and ensures adequate nursing staff coverage hours.
Medication administration and management including reconciliation.
Maintaining medical supplies and equipment.
Developing and maintaining procedures related to medical for the programs on campus.
Adheres to agency policies and procedures; promotes and supports agency mission, vision and values including participating in internal surveys and data collection for continuous improvement initiatives.
Complies with all federal, state and local laws and regulations, including those of ORR, ICE and the NYS Office of Children and Family Services.
Minimum High School diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
New York State Registered Nurse License, required
1 year employment experience in the child welfare field working with children and/or adolescents in a social service setting.
Fluent in English/Spanish with excellent verbal and written communication skills
Varicella Vaccine required OR titers indicating varicella immunity OR documentation from a healthcare provider verifying previous infection.
MMR (Measles Mumps & Rubella vaccine required OR titers indicating immunity to all three diseases.
Tdap (Tetanus-diptheria-pertussis) vaccine required.
Influenza vaccine required, one dose annually during flu season.
Physical (Medical Exam) required.
Must be able to work 9AM-5PM during new hire orientation to complete TCI(Therapeutic Crisis Intervention), CPR and Sanctuary training. Must maintain TCI and CPR certification.
Required to be 21 years or older.
Must have a current and valid driver's license with acceptable driving history to the Agency.
Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends as necessary. On-call hours are required.
Ability to work with economically and culturally diverse population.
