Description


Responsibilities:

-Lead and Manage: Oversee 86 FTEs and 17 operating rooms, managing
6,500 procedures annually.
-Ensure Compliance: Uphold safety protocols and high standards of
care within the Surgical Services department.
-Identify and Resolve Issues: Proactively address service issues and
ensure effective resolution.
-Collaborate: Work with hospital-wide committees to enhance the
customer experience.
-Develop Staff: Coach, mentor, and provide constructive feedback to
support staff growth.
-Monitor Budgets: Manage departmental budgets and ensure efficient
use of financial resources.
-Drive Quality Improvement: Lead quality improvement initiatives and
ensure regulatory compliance.
-Engage in Rounding: Participate in patient and staff rounds, identifying
future leaders within the department.

Requirements

Minimum 3 years recent acute care OR management
MSN required (Magnet Facility)
-Current RN license in Texas or compact state
-CNOR and CSSM preferred
-Extensive experience in surgical services.
-Proven leadership skills focused on team and staff development.
-Strong budget management and financial resource utilization.
-Track record in quality improvement and compliance programs.
-Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
