Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Clinical Laboratory Technologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience in a clinical laboratory setting and a valid license issued by the New York State Education Department (NYSED). This position is essential for providing accurate and timely laboratory results that are critical to patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine and specialized laboratory tests in the areas of Chemistry and Hematology.
Analyze specimens, conduct quality control procedures, and maintain accurate records of results.
Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring all instruments are calibrated and functioning properly.
Work closely with other healthcare professionals to provide accurate and timely results that assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.
Perform phlebotomy as needed to collect samples for testing.
Ensure compliance with all laboratory regulations and safety standards.
Skills and Qualifications:
Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist.
Valid license to practice as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist (092) issued by NYSED. Primary Source Verification required.
Proficiency in Chemistry and Hematology laboratory testing.
Experience with phlebotomy.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is preferred.
Education:
Must hold a valid license to practice as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist (092) issued by NYSED.
