Join a leading healthcare provider dedicated to excellence and compassionate care in the beautiful city of Atlantis, FL. Their 558-bed acute care facility is renowned for exceptional emergency services, cardiovascular care, neurosciences, and more. As the Director of Emergency Services, you will oversee daily operations of the Emergency Department, ensuring high-quality patient care, service growth, and staff development. Your role includes managing resources, adhering to policies, and advancing the patient experience agenda. Be part of a dynamic team of clinical professionals in a fast-paced environment and make a real impact on patient outcomes and community health.

Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and solve real/potential problems affecting the Emergency Department.
- Participate in service, departmental, and hospital-wide committees.
- Improve the patient experience in the Emergency Department.
- Provide feedback and facilitate development plans for subordinates.
- Communicate departmental and industry information to staff.
- Implement evidence-based employee engagement practices.
- Build strong relationships and networks to achieve organizational goals.
- Participate in employee and patient rounding and mentor future leaders.
- Enforce standards of emergency department care and ensure compliance.
- Develop and evaluate emergency services programs.
- Monitor compliance with regulatory and hospital policies.
- Oversee a PI program to monitor and evaluate care.
- Ensure operational excellence and quality services in the department.
- Support the recruitment process to secure staffing talent.

Additional Information:
- Reporting Structure: Reports to the COO, with support from 2 managers (1 day, 1 evening).
- Staff: ~100 FTEs.
- Departments: Oversee main ER, collaborate with the director of 2 FSEDs.
- Visits: Average of 220 daily visits.
- Trauma Level: Not a trauma center.
- Beds: 78 ER beds, 500+ facility beds

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Nursing required.
- Master's degree in Nursing, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in emergency services required.
- 3+ years of leadership experience preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state of practice, in accordance with law and regulation.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC) required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
