Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Medical Surgical team. The RN will provide high-quality care in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, working with a variety of patients, including those requiring orthopedic, GYN, urology, neurosurgery, and general medical care. The nurse will be expected to support patients with pre/post neuro surgery, total joint replacements, trauma care, and various medical diagnoses.

Shift: 3x12 shifts
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend

Important Notes:

Effective 11/30/24: IU Health will not allow Indiana-based RN travelers to work at their facilities, with exceptions for Periop/OR RNs, Allied health, and Ambulatory RN travelers. These IN travelers may work past the 11/30 deadline. Perioperative specialties include ENDO, IR RN, PACU, Cath Lab RN, and SDS.

Skillset Requirements:

Required:

Med/Surg experience
Experience with pre/post neuro surgery
Experience with total joint replacements
IV Start
Trauma Level I, II, III, or IV experience
Ortho trauma care
Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
Minimum Experience Required:
18 months of Med/Surg experience
