Job Summary
The House Supervisor plays a critical role in overseeing the daily operations of the healthcare facility, ensuring that patient care standards are met and maintained. This position requires strong leadership skills, effective communication, and a thorough understanding of nursing practices. The House Supervisor will collaborate with nursing staff and other departments to enhance patient outcomes and ensure a safe environment for both patients and staff.
Responsibilities
Supervise nursing staff and coordinate patient care activities to ensure high-quality service delivery.
Conduct regular assessments of patient care needs and implement appropriate interventions.
Oversee the management of laboratory services, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and regulations.
Provide guidance on airway management and cardiac catheterization procedures as needed.
Utilize Cerner for accurate patient documentation, coding, and data management.
Facilitate effective communication between healthcare teams to promote collaborative care.
Mentor and support nursing staff in their professional development and performance improvement initiatives.
Address any issues or concerns related to senior care, ensuring that all patients receive compassionate and respectful treatment.
Qualifications
Proven experience in nurse management within a healthcare setting.
Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures and protocols.
Experience in senior care is preferred but not mandatory.
Proficiency in airway management techniques and cardiac catheterization is desirable.
Familiarity with Cerner or similar electronic health record systems is an advantage.
Excellent patient assessment skills with the ability to phlebotomize when necessary.
Strong leadership abilities with effective problem-solving skills.
Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with diverse teams.
