Committed to providing high-quality, personalized care, we are seeking an experienced Director of Nursing (DON) per diem to lead our dedicated team and ensure the highest standard of care for our clients.



Role Description

As the Director of Nursing (DON), you will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring the quality and safe delivery of nursing services within our agency. Your role will involve coordinating, developing, and evaluating all agency programs and activities to align with our mission and philosophy. This is a leadership position that requires a strong background in community and home health nursing.

Key Responsibilities

- Ensure the quality and safe delivery of home health care services in accordance with agency standards and the ANA Standards of Care.
- Oversee client services and the clinical status of all clients.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate nursing and home health programs.
- Supervise and evaluate nursing staff, including participating in hiring, training, and in-service coordination.
- Collaborate with community agencies to ensure continuity of care for clients.
- Coordinate the Quality Improvement and Risk Management Programs per agency policy.
- Assist in agency administration in the absence of the Administrator.

Compensation

$500 stipend per month
$45 per hour for assessment/plan of care

Qualifications

- Licensed RN in good standing issued by the NJ Board of Nursing.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing or a related health field preferred.
- 2+ years of professional RN experience in community health or home health. In lieu of a BS degree, 3+ years of progressive RN experience in these fields.
- Experience providing nursing services in a home environment, including assisted living facilities.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively under stressful situations.
- Availability to respond via phone and conduct home visits if necessary during on-call hours.
