Registered Nurse – Neonatal Intensive Care - Travel - (NICU RN)
StartDate: 9/9/2024 Available Shifts: 12 D/N Pay Rate: $1587.59 - $1749.59

Facility will ACCEPT LOCALS for this position. ALL RTO requests must be in the packet at the time of submission. Anything sent after, will not be approved. Position Description: NICU / Special Care Nursery - min. 5 years experience, 12H Rotating shifts - days/nights. Level III NICU patient population; no cooling, no nitric oxide. Must be able to do heel sticks, start PIVs, special equipment: iStat machine, glucometer, central line – UA and UV. Only reasonable time off considered 3-7 days, which will need to be screened to client. Ratio - 1:1-2 ICU Babies, 1:3-4 grower feeders. / Navy Scrubs / natural nails / Floating required, if need, to L&D as NAN, and post-partum to help with babies. No self-scheduling. EMR: Epic Required Upon Submission: BLS, NRP required at time of submission. Bed size/EMR/NICU Level need to be included on all work history entries or file will be dropped. MD/Compact license verified through current NURSYS required. COVID vaccine required. Medical Declination accepted, Must have signed and authorized documentation from Physician in packet or submission will be dropped. UMMS does not accept religious COVID declinations. N Who manages ventilators: Respiratory Therapist Unit Specific Procedures and Protocols: (For example: Drips; Infusions; Phlebotomy; Starting IVs; EKGs; Transports; Weaning; Nebulizer to Inhaler; Starting IVs, performing venipuncture, Performing EKGs; Discontinuing sheaths) Must be able to do heelsticks, start PIVs Additional Unit Specific Information: 5-7 days prior to start you will receive information for online modules that need to be completed PRIOR TO START. These courses do not take very long but MUST BE COMPLETED PRIOR TO START. You will have contact information for our onsite manager should you have any questions. Not completing these could impact your ability to move forward with the assignment.
