Job Summary:
As the Director of Nursing for Medical/Surgical and Trauma Units, they will oversee financial and clinical operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and hospital policies. They will develop and implement policies, supervise nursing staff, and coordinate services across departments. They will also be responsible for staff orientation, in-service training, and continuing education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and integrate department services with the hospital’s primary function
- Develop and implement policies and procedures that guide and support provisions of services
- Supervise nursing staff and ensure competency
- Develop, market, implement, and evaluate new services and programs
- Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies
- Provide for staff orientation, in-service training, and continuing education
- Assume the duties of the Associate Nursing Executive or Administrative Coordinator as assigned

- 5 direct reports (Managers)
- Reports to ACNO/CNO

Additional Information:
- 49 beds in Med/Surg, 45 beds in trauma/transplant, and additional beds in inpatient oncology
- The role has been open for 30 days due to a long-term employee leaving to stay home
- Sign-On Bonus: Available upon offer
- Relocation Assistance: Available for candidates living more than 50 miles from the facility
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required; Master’s degree preferred
- Current RN licensure in Missouri or active compact license Certification in area of specialty preferred
- BLS required; ACLS optional
- Minimum of 5 years of current clinical nursing experience
- At least 2 years of Director-level experience in a Med Surg unit or 5+ years of strong Manager-level experience in a Med Surg unit
