Position: Travel CNA
Location: Casa Real, Santa Fe, NM
Duration: 14-week contract
Shift: 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM (Thursday, Friday, Saturday)
Job Summary:
Genesis Healthcare is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for a travel assignment at Casa Real in Santa Fe, NM. As a CNA, you will provide essential care to patients, assisting with daily activities and ensuring their comfort and well-being. This position involves working in a skilled nursing facility, offering hands-on care to residents with a range of medical conditions.
Responsibilities:
• Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding.
• Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, and heart rate.
• Provide mobility assistance, including helping patients with walking, transferring, or repositioning in bed.
• Assist in administering medications under the supervision of nursing staff.
• Help with patient meals, ensuring they are fed and hydrated appropriately.
• Maintain patient comfort by adjusting bedding, ensuring cleanliness, and offering emotional support.
• Follow care plans and collaborate with other healthcare team members to ensure patients’ needs are met.
• Assist with patient hygiene, including oral care, toileting, and incontinence care.
• Document patient information and any changes in condition as required.
• Ensure all safety and health protocols are adhered to within the facility.
Requirements:
• Current CNA certification in the state of New Mexico.
• Previous experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility preferred.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work well in a team and follow detailed care instructions.
• Flexibility to work 12-hour shifts (6:00 PM to 6:00 AM) on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.
