Job Description:
Provides patient care based on standards of care, standards of practice, protocols, and established policies and procedures.
Monitors and adjusts specialized equipment used on patients, and interprets and records electronic displays, such as intracranial pressures, central venous pressures, pulmonary artery pressures, and cardiac rhythms from cardiac monitors, respirators, ventilators, manometers, oxygen pumps, etc.
Appropriately prioritizes patient care (e.g., seeks assistance as needed from appropriate resources, reassigns personnel as necessary, recognizes need for emergency intervention, etc.)
Responds to life-saving situations based upon nursing standards and protocol.
Provides thorough, timely and accurate documentation of all pertinent data, therapeutic interventions and patient responses including assessment, care plan, patient goals and interventions according to established standards.
Qualifications:
Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. BSN preferred.
Certification/ Licensure:
Current nursing license in Massachusetts required.
BCLS required.
ACLS required.
ENPC or PALS required.
TNCC preferred.
Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) preferred.
