Responsibilities of the Nurse Practitioner:
⚪Develop and implement treatment plans that are appropriate for each patient’s condition or illness
⚪Conduct physical examinations and tests to diagnose conditions, infections, disease processes, etc.
⚪Provide advice to patients about health maintenance, hygiene practices, diet modification, medication use, etc.
⚪Perform diagnostic tests, such as wound culture, urinalysis, and blood tests
⚪Treat minor wounds, cuts, and other injuries using sterile techniques to prevent infection
⚪Provide educational services to patients regarding their illness or injury
⚪Order diagnostic tests, such as X-rays or laboratory tests, to help determine the cause of an injury or illness
⚪Communicate with other healthcare team members to discuss patient care plans
⚪Provide counseling services to patients with behavioral health problems
