Hiring RN Nursing Manager for Travel contract
Job Overview
The Nursing Manager/Director is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the operations of the nursing department to ensure high-quality patient care. This role involves supervising nursing staff, managing budgets, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals. The Nursing Manager/Director will ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards while striving to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Management
Supervise and manage nursing staff, including RNs, LPNs, and other healthcare professionals.
Lead recruitment, onboarding, and staff development initiatives.
Conduct performance evaluations and address staff concerns or issues.
Foster a positive and productive work environment.
Patient Care Oversight
Oversee patient care services to ensure they meet quality and safety standards.
Work closely with medical staff to enhance patient care strategies.
Address patient concerns and improve patient satisfaction scores.
Operational Management
Manage department budgets and allocate resources effectively.
Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures in line with healthcare regulations.
Ensure compliance with healthcare laws, standards, and accreditation requirements.
Monitor and enhance staff productivity and department efficiency.
Collaboration and Communication
Collaborate with other department heads to ensure integrated and comprehensive patient care.
Serve as a liaison between nursing staff, physicians, and administration.
Prepare reports and presentations for upper management as needed.
Strategic Planning & Development
Contribute to the development and execution of the hospital or healthcare facility’s strategic goals.
Identify opportunities for improvement in patient care and nursing practices.
Implement evidence-based practices and stay updated on industry trends.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) required. Master's in Nursing (MSN) or Healthcare Administration preferred.
Licensure: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of WA (or eligibility for reciprocity).
Experience: Minimum 5 years of nursing experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or management role.
Skills:
Strong leadership and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Proficiency in budget management and resource allocation.
In-depth knowledge of healthcare regulations, policies, and accreditation standards (JCAHO, OSHA, etc.).
WA RN License required
Prefer Previous ICU Experience
