**POSITION SUMMARY:**
The Nurse Manager is responsible for implementing strategies that ensure high-quality patient care, safety, and an exceptional experience for patients and families. This role fosters staff development and collaboration while allocating resources for efficient and compassionate nursing care. The Nurse Manager oversees the Emergency Department, SSH Clinical Leaders, and the Medic 55 ALS Program, ensuring effective recruitment, orientation, education, and professional development for staff.

**QUALIFICATIONS:**

**EDUCATION:**
- Minimum: Master’s degree in Nursing or a related field from an accredited program.

**LICENSE:**
- Minimum: Current NYS Registered Professional Nurse license.

**CERTIFICATIONS:**
- Minimum: BLS, ACLS, PALS, Basic Coronary Care (within 6 months of hire), CPI certification (within 90 days), TNCC (within 18 months).
- Preferred: Certified Emergency Nursing within one year.

**EXPERIENCE:**
- Minimum: 3-4 years as an RN in an Emergency Department, including at least 1 year as a Nurse Manager.

**SKILLS:**
- Minimum:
- Moderate sedation competency within six months.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Knowledge of management systems.
- Ability to assess needs and implement effective interventions.
- Project management and teamwork skills.
- Computer literacy (Microsoft Office and Meditech preferred).

**CANDIDATE DETAILS:**
- 2-5 years of experience.
- Mid-Senior level, Master’s Degree required.
- Willingness to travel frequently.
