Join Us: Weekend Warrior RN for Med Surg Unit!

John Alex Consultants is helping a local academic hospital find a Weekend Warrior RN to join its Med Surg Unit. The position offers both night and day shift opportunities which involve working two night shifts per weekend and one 12-hour weeknight or one weekday and two weekend days to complete 36 hours a week. The 34-bed unit is split with Med Telemetry. The hospital has a total of 85 beds and is dedicated to providing top-notch care to patients.

Qualifications
- RN License
- Proficient in IV insertion
- Experience in patient care and assessment
- Knowledge of EMR and EHR systems
- Ability to perform catheterization and tube feeding
- Strong understanding of physiology
- Basic life support certification

Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality patient care on weekends, utilizing core nursing skills such as catheterization, basic life support, IV insertion, and patient assessment.
- Administer tube feeding and ensure proper patient nutrition.
- Utilize knowledge of physiology to assess and address patient needs effectively.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to deliver comprehensive care.
- Maintain accurate electronic health records using EMR systems.
- Stay updated on best practices and technologies in nursing to enhance patient outcomes.
