Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Emergency Services Operations Director to lead our emergency department and ensure the delivery of exceptional patient care. This role involves overseeing the Emergency Services Department, Free Standing Emergency Departments, and Emergency Management, ensuring service quality, personnel management, and resource allocation.
Schedule:
Full-time, No Weekends
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and resolve real/potential problems affecting emergency services.
- Participate in service, departmental, and hospital-wide committees, providing ongoing communication.
- Enhance the patient experience agenda in the Emergency Department.
- Provide feedback and development plans for subordinates.
- Communicate departmental, organizational, and industry information to staff.
- Facilitate evidence-based employee engagement practices.
- Build strong relationships to achieve organizational and departmental goals.
- Conduct employee and patient rounding, mentoring potential future leaders.
- Enforce standards of emergency department care and ensure consistent compliance.
Additional Information:
- Community hospital with a 364-bed facility, expanding in the next 3 years.
- ER: 48 beds + 9-bed fast track; capable of expanding to 27 beds in hallways.
- Level II Trauma Center, averaging 250 visits daily.
- Overseeing 2 Free Standing Emergency Departments.
- Oversee the inpatient hold unit.
- Reporting to ACNO, managing approximately 97 FTEs.

- Bachelor's degree in nursing required.
- Master's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or Business Administration required.
- 3+ years of experience in emergency services required.
- 5+ years of experience in a leadership role required.
- Current RN license or eligibility required.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required.
- Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) preferred.
- Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) preferred.
