Position Details
The full-time registered nurse is pivotal in our community-based Dual Diagnosis Treatment Team (DDTT) serving Lehigh and Northampton Counties. The dual diagnosis team takes a compassionate, recovery-oriented approach dedicated to providing high-quality care and unwavering support for individuals diagnosed with both a mental illness and an intellectual disability.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with other team members on implementing a recovery-oriented, person-centered treatment and support plan.
- Perform physical health medical monitoring, assessment, etc.
- Support the implementation of intensive therapeutic services in varied settings, including, but not limited to, community living arrangements, schools, community settings, and natural support residences.
Our ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
- A degree from an accredited school of nursing required
- Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania required
- Active PA Driver's License required
- Minimum of 2 years' experience working in mental health required
- Knowledge and understanding of recovery principles and the recovery-driven service system preferred
- Understanding of adults with serious mental illness or intellectual developmental disabilities preferred
