Job Description:
The Delegating Nurse (DN) will lead a team of LPNs, DNPs, and Medication Technicians, providing clinical supervision to ensure the highest standards of care. The DN will oversee the implementation of comprehensive resident care plans that comply with all relevant regulations. They will conduct nursing assessments, monitor care delivery, identify clinical trends, and take corrective actions as needed. The DN will also collaborate with physicians and other medical personnel to determine the best care plans for residents.

Location: Crownsville, MD
Schedule: 20 hours per week onsite
Compensation: $50 per hour
No relocation assistance provided
Supervisor: Chief Clinical Officer


Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with medication administration and qualifications of Medication Technicians.
- Oversee nursing services and resident care to ensure compliance with all regulations.
- Collaborate with the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Chief Clinical Officer (CCO) to monitor and ensure compliance within the nursing department.
- Play a key role in Quality Assurance by documenting meetings and initiatives to improve resident care.
- Meet regularly with supportive services, social services, and residents to evaluate service needs.
- Work with other departments to ensure the delivery of customer related services.
- Manage the auditing process, including reviewing nursing notes, physician orders, lab work, and care plans.
- Issue nursing or clinical orders based on resident needs.
- Be onsite to observe each resident and Medication Technician at least every 45 days.
- Assess new clients and meet with current clients within 24 hours if they are hospitalized.


Skills and Abilities:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Understanding of the special treatment needs of women with substance abuse issues in a residential setting, with demonstrated empathy and sensitivity.
- Adherence to the highest professional ethical standards.

Requirements

- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with current RN licensure by the State Board of Nursing.
- Current and unencumbered Delegating Nurse license, or willingness to immediately obtain it.
- 2-5 years of experience as a Delegating Nurse, meeting state requirements.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working with individuals dealing with substance abuse.
