Licensing and Certification Requirements
Active RN License: Must hold a current and unencumbered Registered Nurse license in the practicing state.
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification: Required, usually through the American Heart Association (AHA).
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS): Preferred or required, depending on the employer.

Registered Nurse Requirements:
Bachelor degree or master degree in nursing.
Pass the National Council Licensure Examination or NCLEX-RN.
Current state licensure as a registered nurse and BLS certification required.
