Description

Responsibilities:

-Implement and advance a comprehensive patient safety program to
eliminate avoidable harm and build a strong safety culture.
-Lead serious event and failure mode analyses to identify, assess, and
mitigate patient safety risks.
-Collaborate with clinical leaders to ensure full compliance with national
patient safety goals.
-Engage staff in safety rounds to identify and resolve safety concerns.
-Drive improvements in the event reporting process through feedback
and engagement.
-Coordinate with legal counsel on the investigation, processing, and
defense of safety claims.
-Analyze event data to identify trends and track safety progress.

Requirements

-Bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field required.
-Master's degree in a healthcare-related field preferred.
-Minimum of 5 years of experience in patient safety, risk, or quality in an
acute care setting.
-Certification in Patient Safety (CPPS) required or must obtain within 12
months of hire.
-Strong clinical leadership background.
-Strong leadership experience in patient safety and quality
improvement.
-Proven ability to analyze and resolve safety risks effectively.
-Collaborative skills with clinical and administrative leaders.
-Expertise in national patient safety standards and goals.
-Ability to engage and influence staff at all levels in safety initiatives.
