Job Summary:
The Med-Surg Float Pool RN is responsible for providing high-quality care to patients across various units within the hospital. This role requires adaptability, strong clinical skills, and the ability to work in different environments while maintaining excellent patient care standards.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the patient and family advocate, protecting privacy and confidentiality
- Facilitate patient care by making nursing assessments and diagnoses
- Provide plan-based care with a commitment to continuous improvement
- Administer prescribed medications and monitor patient responses
- Educate patients and their families about their conditions, treatments, and follow-up care
- Document patient care accurately and promptly

- 2 years of recent (within the last year or two) acute Med-Surg experience required
- Florida RN license or appropriate compact licensure (active FL RN license required within 90 days of hire if holding a compact license)
- Current BLS certification
- ACLS certification preferred (required within 6 months of hire)
- BSN preferred
